Sharon Sutton Alkerstedt, APRN, FNP-C, knew she needed to work at Anchor Health after spending a double clinical rotation with us during her family nurse practitioner program. Our mission won her over, and she sweet-talked her way into joining our team in 2019.
Sharon earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Sacred Heart University in 2019, where she maintained honors. Sharon won an award for clinical excellence and the most informative capstone project. She is also a member of Sigma Theta Tau and Alpha Sigma Lambda.
Before coming to Anchor Health, Sharon was an oncology nurse with 20 years’ experience, which taught her how precious life is. Sharon’s experience includes working at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Stamford Hospital, and Yale New Haven Hospital in various medical and radiation oncology roles.
Sharon is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and Oncology Nursing Society. She holds certifications in both medical and radiation oncology.
Sharon loves to lift weights, cook, travel, and cater to her geriatric diva cat in her free time.
