creating an accessible space

Website

Our website makes available the UserWay’s Web Accessibility Widget. It is powered by a dedicated accessibility server. The software allows us to improve its compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1.

You can enable the accessibility menu by clicking the icon that appears on the corner of the page. After triggering the accessibility menu, please wait a moment for the accessibility menu to load in its entirety.

Our website also features:

  • Meaningful alternative text for all images to provide descriptive text
  • Descriptive hyperlink text where necessary
  • Full browser functionality
  • Easy-to-read font type, size, and color

Disclaimer

Anchor Health continues our efforts to constantly improve the accessibility of our website and services in the belief that it is our collective moral obligation to allow seamless, accessible, and unhindered use for those of us with disabilities.

In an ongoing effort to continually improve and remediate accessibility issues, we also regularly scan our website with UserWay’s Accessibility Scanner to identify and fix every possible accessibility barrier. Despite our efforts to make all pages and content fully accessible, some content may not have yet been fully adapted to the strictest accessibility standards. This may be a result of not having found or identified the most appropriate technological solution.

Interpreters

Phone and video interpretation services are available upon request. The available languages include American Sign Language (ASL), Cantonese, English, French, Haitian Creole, Italian, Mandarin, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish, and more. Patients can also use their own interpreters.

Captioning

We make every effort to ensure captions are available on all in-house produced Anchor Health content.

Service Animals

We welcome individuals with service animals. Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), a service animal is defined as a dog that is individually trained to do work or perform tasks for a person with a disability. The work or task a dog has been trained to provide must be directly related to the person’s disability.

COVID-19 Safety Measures

To minimize the spread of COVID-19, we have implemented the following precautions:

  • All patients and visitors are screened at the door for COVID-19 symptoms, exposures, and recent travel. Anyone with symptoms or known COVID-19 exposures must call and report their symptoms to consider changing to telehealth or alert staff when ringing the doorbell. If still able to be seen, such patients will wear a KN95 or N95 mask, which we can provide if needed.
  • All staff are required to be vaccinated against COVID-19 and influenza.
  • All staff are asked to self-monitor for COVID-19 signs and symptoms. Those who test positive or show any signs and symptoms are advised not to come to work.
  • All surfaces are cleaned regularly.
  • HEPA air filtration systems with UV light are utilized throughout the facility.
  • COVID-19 vaccinations are administered in our offices.
  • Telemedicine visits are available to patients.
  • Our pharmacy offers prescription delivery and pickup.
