As a member of the LGBTQ community, Alison Cole understands why queer-affirming health care is so critical. She joined the Anchor Health Board of Directors to help make a difference in her community. Most importantly, as the parent of a young child, Alison wants to show him that there is good in the world and how organizations like Anchor Health contribute to it.
Alison is the Senior Associate Dean for External Affairs and Special Projects at the Yale College Dean’s Office, the administrative center of Yale College. In this capacity, she works directly with the Dean of Yale College to ensure that his vision for supporting Yale students is properly marketed, communicated, and funded.
With more than 15 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising and management, Alison oversees the implementation, hiring, and administration of new endeavors. She is the primary contact for Yale College’s “For Humanity” capital campaign, which has raised over $400 million for Yale College since its launch. Alison has spearheaded fundraising initiatives to support student mental health, well-being, and belonging, as well as the Yale College Safety Net, a program that offers support for students experiencing unexpected financial hardship.
