Dear friends,
For my birthday this year, I’m matching all donations, dollar for dollar, to Anchor Health now through the end of August. That means every gift made to Connecticut’s leading LGBTQ health center is doubled.
As a cofounder of Anchor Health and an officer on our Board of Directors, I’m immensely appreciative to have been a part of this wonderful organization since its inception. In 2016, a handful of passionate and dedicated people started Anchor Health with the vision of a future where all LGBTQ people in Connecticut could access groundbreaking, radically inclusive, gender-affirming, and sex-positive health care.
Celebrate my birthday by supporting Anchor Health and helping to support our life-enhancing and lifesaving programs and services. No gift is too big or too small.
Over the ensuing six years, Anchor Health has grown exponentially, and today, we are a team of more than 25 employees and care for over 3,000 patients across Connecticut and beyond. The services we offer include primary care, gender-affirming medicine, HIV prevention and treatment, sexual health services, and trauma-informed behavioral health care. Case managers help close the gap of intersecting health disparities faced by many LGBTQ people, addressing barriers to care for patients. Our in-house pharmacy and sliding fee discount program remove financial barriers to care, ensuring all patients can receive high-quality and accessible care.
