Throughout his 11 years in the medical field, Charnez Perkins Sr. has worked as a medical assistant in infectious diseases, urgent care, pain management, and orthopedics. Charnez is responsible for preparing patients for examinations, collecting laboratory specimens, assisting providers, and more.

In his spare time, Charnez is a mentor for youth from ages 8 to 18 through Jericho Partnership, a nonprofit collaboration of ministry organizations and congregations dedicated to serving the at-risk community of Danbury, Connecticut. Charnez also serves as a state basketball official for the International Association of Approved Basketball Officials, Inc.

Charnez enjoys traveling to find the best beaches when he’s not working.
